Cub Scouts is about encouraging boys and girls to make friends, be helpful to others, and do their very best no matter the outcome. Through exciting projects and outdoor adventures, Pack 1882 brings Sugar Land families together for hands-on learning, outdoor fun, service, friendship, and memories that last. We welcome boys and girls from kindergarten through fifth grade—and families are an essential part of the journey, too!
Cub Scouts is part of the worldwide Scouting movement and aims to promote character development, citizenship training, personal fitness, and leadership.
Your child will work with other Scouts their age in small groups and large groups on a variety of fun and engaging activities. Younger children focus on building awareness of their community and service to their family. Older children will learn useful skills for safely adventuring into the outdoors as well as general life skills. Throughout the program's levels, the boys and girls are given opportunities for leadership and responsibility appropriate to their age and maturity.
With the help of powerful learning projects and exciting outdoor activities, we aim to teach children that doing their best can be a fun and rewarding experience—no matter the difficulty of the challenge. To learn more about Cub Scouts check out this video from Scouting America.
We are a growing pack that serves the Sugar Land, TX area with kids primarily from Commonwealth Elementary and Anne Sullivan Elementary. Scouts meet regularly at Anne Sullivan Elementary School as a large group, called a Pack, and also split out into smaller grade level groups, called Dens.
